Introduction

Macao Cultural Heritage Reinventing Studies Association (MCHRSA), a youth-oriented and non-profit organisation, was founded on 5 February 2014 in Macau. With the philosophy of "loving heritage with creativity and knowledge", MCHRSA aims to conduct research and work related to cultural heritage, inherit and promote historical and cultural legacy in Macau, and advance the cause of cultural heritage conservation.

Apart from the need to drive Macau's young people to engage in education and promotion work in the cultural heritage sector, it is vital to encourage them to participate in research and creative work, and to showcase their talents. To achieve these goals, MCHRSA organises young individuals interested in research and creative work to carry out tasks in two major domains. The first domain is the research on policies and schemes related to cultural heritage. We conduct research and surveys on topics such as cultural tourism, cultural heritage conservation, and urban development, where young people can actively voice their opinions and facilitate the implementation of relevant policies and measures. The second domain is the development of the cultural and creative industries. We provide distinctive brand services and products, especially publications, souvenirs, and public services related to culture, tourism, and history. MCHRSA aspires to offer more diversified and timely cultural information to both residents and tourists. The cultural services and creative products we offer will showcase and utilise the vibrant energy and enthusiasm of young individuals at the forefront of the cultural heritage sector.

MCHRSA has also received accreditation from the World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region in August 2021.
